 Kane: The World Champion!
Kane won the World Championship for the second time at the MITB Pay Per View. After the way he has been booked since winning his last World Title, I thought he'd never hold a championship again. But in the last few months or so the WWE has done a good job making Kane look good and now I can buy him as the champion.
I hope Kane holds the title for a long time. I hear he wants to retire but wanted a title run before he did so. So he'll probably retire after this run. I hope he doesn't feud with the Undertaker, we've seen that before, and I don't want to see it again. But the storyline with Taker in a vegetative state needs to stay. But I hope Kane doesn't end up being the attacker.
I think Kane can be a good champion. He's a monster so he should be dominant. I'm excited about his title run. Its a nice breath of fresh air really.

 Re: Kane: The World Champion!
I hope he's booked as a good champion. Actually make him seem like an unstoppable monster, and we might have a good reign under our hands. Just don't make it last four weeks before losing to someone shit like Jack Swagger.

 Re: Kane: The World Champion!
I've read that Kane is the first person to hold the WWE title, the ECW title and the World Heavyweight title while in the WWE. Nice accomplishment really even if his WWE title win was just for one day.
I'm looking forward to his title reign. Hopefully it will allow the bookers to actually book him right for a change.

I personally am happy for the guy. After a 24-hour reign in 1998 and having some of the absolute worst storylines to suffer through, I'm glad for him that he's getting one last run as a way to say thanks for sticking with the company for so long and doing what's asked of you.

Show's never had the world heavyweight. He had the WCW, while he was in WCW, but not the WWE version. So Ben is right in that, "while in the WWE" Kane is the only person to hold them all. For now anyway, I can see Show getting his world title before too long.

Oh, word, I was wrong. I naturally combine the two in my mind, for whatever reason. My bad.

 Re: Kane: The World Champion!
About time is my attitude on this. Kane should have been Champion a lot more over the past 13 years. A Title reign now does some of that justice. I've actually been waiting for it for a long time. I'm very happy with this reign.

He's been in some of the best and some of the worst situations WWE has thought up, but has never actually hit the top despite being the prototypical monster for a decade and a half. If Abyss can do it, why not Kane? But yeah, they've kept him away from it for so long that it's become weirder to see him with the gold than some flavour of the week like Swagger or even McIntyre.

 Re: Kane: The World Champion!
anyone see Smackdown this week...must say I loved Kane's promo with his reasoning behind attacking the Undertaker...linking it all the way back to Bad Blood was great...only gripe could be that they made out Kane was unmasked by Taker at Summerslan 2000, which he was but came out with mask back on after... Kane biding his time until Taker became weak over the years due to his "pride", realising early on that Taker was too strong to destroy, linking their matches at WM14&XX, stating reasoning behind them, teaming with him to gain trust with Taker until the time was right to attack to take him out... i thought it was a brilliant bit of storytelling from WWE what did i just say?!?!

 Re: Kane: The World Champion!
I don't know, I quite liked the delivery and the theory behind it, but it seems really phoney to me. It was all so cliché, "I was biding my time, gaining your trust, waiting for the perfect time to strike" is nearly as bad as Cena's recent "I've been secretly forming a team".

Kane has been great with his promos recently and this one on SD! was no exception. I think the whole thing made sense, more sense than what we had hoped for. I think this feud will be a massive success.

I think this feud will be a massive success. I'm loving the new slimmed down Kane. His belly disappeared a bit. Anyway, the promos have been excellent. I like the idea of bringing in the past, and there were moments that seemed weird toward the storyline, but the emotion he's put into them have been great. I really hope Taker thinks of letting Kane win a couple of PPV matches against him for a while cause he certainly deserves it. And also Taker did a good job of looking really weak at SummerSlam.

 Re: Kane: The World Champion!
Kane is probably the only person I'd buy to take Undertaker down at Wrestlemania. HBK was pretty close, but Kane is the only one to do it if anyone. So, if he keeps this feud going and wins at Wrestlemania, with the belt no less...that will be epic. So far, this title reign has turned him from very useless to somewhat useful in a few weeks. His clean win over Rey Mysterio was good, now if he can only do that a few more times on PPV it'll be the reign he's deserved for over a decade. He's got a good grasp on the English language, and people aren't used to seeing that from a heel...much less a dark heel at that. If I were a 10 year old watching that, like I did Undertaker back in the day, I'd be scared shitless and would probably need to bring a change of clothes to every live Smackdown event I went to. Fun facts there by [chux] and Berk and friends though. Thanks for that!
