 Re: SummerSlam (15/8/10)
I expect to see Big Show v Jack Swagger, Kane v Undertaker, and some Nexus v WWE match involving Edge, Cena and Jericho to be added.

Nexus vs The Awesome Canadians, Rock n Rapp, Cena and the immovable rock. Really guys? Evan Bourne wasn't doing anything? Big ass group but Khali?

 Re: SummerSlam (15/8/10)
I would think that the Nexus could injure one of the team members leading up to Summerslam (ideally Khali or R-Truth)...cue Bourne as the replacement.
Otherwise, I was hoping for a Survivor Series match to culiminate all of this story, but maybe this is just the beginning of it all here at Summerslam.

 Re: SummerSlam (15/8/10)
Yes, I know. My point was had it not been for his trip to the hospital, he'd have come out instead of Bret on RAW.

I know, I was just adding an extra report. Obviously having spent that long in there he won't be fit to work at the show anyway.

 Re: SummerSlam (15/8/10)
I think this will be a good Summerslam card. Last years was pretty good. It looks like Summerslam is making its return to a big PPV. We have some big matches this year and major angles. Nexus vs. Team WWE is the biggest angle in the WWE for quite some time. Kane vs. Mysterio with the chance of a Undertaker appearance. Orton vs. Sheamus is pretty good too. I wouldn't mind them putting the belt on Orton, but Sheamus really needs to beat Orton to have some credit to his name. All in all. I say this will be one of the better PPVs of the year.

 Re: SummerSlam (15/8/10)
I think it's quite an ordinary card this year. Nexus/Team Raw has had a great build and it has me excited about the outcome of it but the rest is fairly standard stuff.
Kane/Mysterio doesn't scream out awesome to me whilst Orton/Sheamus is predictable. Alicia/Melina is weak whilst less said about SES/Big Show, the better. Adding Ziggler/Kofi hopefully to the card would make it decent but this year seems to be missing the blockbuster main event of previous years. Last year had Hardy/Punk as the showpiece along with DX's return, 2008 had Undertaker/Edge in Hell in a Cell. 2010 seem's to lack that (Nexus/Team Raw isn't blockbuster imo).

 Re: SummerSlam (15/8/10)
I disagree with special 1. i like the card a lot. We all know nexus vs WWE has had great build and could be great. Main event most likely too. But Sheamus/Orton to me is not predictable. Orton is the hottest wrestler out right now, and Sheamus is the young stud whos already had a two time title reign. I have no idea where WWE is going with that match. Kane/Mysterio will be great because of the storyline and the obvious David vs. Goliath matchup. Im sure Taker may have a part in this match, but who knows how. Kofi/Dolph should be added and be the opener. And maybe even a NXT match with the 5 finalists. Maybe a quick 5 minute battle royal. Or maybe even Hardy vs. McIntyre.
I love the Big Show vs. SES matchup as well. SES looks like theyre having problems, and dealing with the Big Show doesnt help. But im sure something crazy will happen, especially when it comes to SES.

 Re: SummerSlam (15/8/10)
Sheamus/Orton is very predictable to me. Orton's being used to legitimize upper-midcarders/new maineventers like Sheamus and Miz nowadays so giving him the title won't be a very good thing. Sheamus needs this win to get over as a bonafide main event talent, hence why I think he'll win.
The reason I have pterry much no faith in Mysterio/Kane lighting up the crowd is because their previous set of matches sucked. It's hard to get excited over a World Title feud if it sucked the previous time round (without the title).
SES/Show is a waste of the talent involved. SES/Hart Dynasty would've made for a great Tag Title match whilst Show/Swagger would've been a decent match-up on the card. Two good matches wasted into one, 5 minute crap-fest.

Two good matches wasted into one, 5 minute crap-fest. 1st point- How could Orton getting the title be bad timing when he is the most over wrestler in the company rite now? 2nd point- Kane hasnt looked this motivated in 10 years, and Mysterio had enough experience in main event matches to know what he is capable of doing. I see no reason they cant have a good match, and there is the Taker thing looming. 3rd point- If CM Punk is eligible to wrestle it wont be a crapfest. In fact, i dont know why you think that. Mercury is one of my favs going back to ECW, and Gallows will use the enforcer role. Basically, i expect SES to dominate with Big Show trying to overcome the odds of two very good wrestlers, and one enforcer. and a crazy chick with no hair.

Of course he's over, but does he really need the WWE Title right now? He's way over without it whilst in Sheamus' case, without the Title he was just another monster heel. Sheamus needs the belt whilst Orton doesn't. A similar situation happened with The Rock when he got massive ovations in 1999 after his face turn, equalling Austin's imo at the time. Vince didn't put the title on him, but instead used The Rock's popularity to put over new main event talent like HHH. Orton should be and probably is being used in that role... which is great. I see no reason they cant have a good match, and there is the Taker thing looming. No denying that Kane is motivated but you can only judge a re-hashed feud based on what they did last time. What they did last time round sucked, that's why I'm not expecting anything brilliant... just a decent match. Mark Reynolds wrote: 3rd point- If CM Punk is eligible to wrestle it wont be a crapfest. It doesn't matter if Punk is eligible or not, the match is wasting Show's talent and also the SES' talent as a tag team is being wasted because they would've made excellent challengers for the Tag Titles. I'm not complaining about the talent involved, it's just the talent could've been used better instead of what seem's like an SD! match thrown on PPV.
